SlatePages Tutorial

Getting Started

 

Follow these steps if you are a new user of Slates, have purchased Slates, or are using slates out in the field. This guide will assist you to get up and running.


Download the slatepages app

The SlatePages app is what you will use to scan the Slate QR codes to access and edit your data.

  1. Download the SlatePAGES app for your device 
  2. Open SlatePAGES, and then create your Profile (This is used to identify you when you interact with slates). Enter your email address and pick your password (this is YOUR profile, not your company's)
  3. Check your email and click the link to verify your email address.
  4. Login with your User Name & Password.

Using the SlatePages App

While any QR Code Reader can view the data on a slate, you will need the SlatePages App to control it. Additionally, only the account's authorization code is able to edit the slate.

Using the Dashboard

Follow this guide to learn more about the Dashboard. You must have a profile  in order to login to the Dashboard. To create a profile, refer to section Getting Started.

To go directly to the Dashboard, go to dashboard.slatepages.com

 
 

Using the Dashboard

Get oriented with all the menus, buttons, and settings. See the daily things you can do to interact with your data: sorting, filtering, & opening slates. The Dashboard has all the functionality of the SlatePages app, but you gain the ability to see all of your data at once & access it at any time without any software. All you need is an internet browser.

 

Configure List & Map Views

List Views are columns of data displaying all the data in specific fields on your slates. You can display up to (10) columns of data. You can also create filters which only show slates which have specific data entered, or after a maintenance visit.

Map Views show all the GPS Locations of the assets on your slates. You can create filters of which can change the color of the pins you decide to show, like from one employee, or slates accessed on one day of the week, or if something has been fixed or maintaned.
